Cameron's Participate in the CIBC Run for the Cure
OTTAWA,
October 2005 -
The air was warm, the sun was shining and the Cameron Highlanders of Ottawa were ready to run or march. Forty two Cameron's participated in this year's CIBC Run for the Cure. Money raised go into Breast Cancer research.
This years walk was put together by Sgt Dave Davisdon member of the Cameron and his wife Lucy who works with the Ottawa Police Services. A challenge was put out by the police to the Cameron's to raise awareness and money for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. Member of the Cameron's either ran or marched the 5 km around Confederation Boulevard which runs through downtown Ottawa and Gatineau.
This year's event saw over 12,000 participants raise over $1.2 million dollars.
